Funk & Flow Brazilian Zouk Workshop

Join Brazilian Zouk community staple Tuca for this fun and dynamic workshop, where you’ll focus on adding flavor and styling to basic moves! In this class, students will explore the different joys of dancing, and how to use Zouk as a tool for self-expression and connecting with others.

Topics to cover:

  • Discovering why we dance/coming to the dance floor with good intentions
  • Solo Dancing: Letting go and allowing ourselves to express the music
  • Styling vs Partner-work, And combining them in musical ways
  • Simple Choreo: modulating our dancing in response to the music


Arthur “Tuca” Barelli is originally from Brazil and has lived most of his life in the states, spending a long time living and dancing in Pittsburgh. Since his move to California he has kept training, teaching, and competing and most recently won the last official J&J for intermediates at Zouk Heat.

This class is open to all levels and dance backgrounds, previous knowledge of Zouk basic steps highly recommended.
