Children’s Summer Camp Instructor (Part Time/Summer)

Hourly Pay $25-$40 depending on experience and workload

Los Sabrosos Dance Co is excited to include a new children’s dance and activities teacher to our Summer 2026 team! We are looking for energetic individuals happy to work with children ages 3 to 8. LSDance Co. camps mix different kid-approved themes with outdoor activities, skill building, crafts, as well as movement and dance techniques. Summer Camp instructors guide kids through a variety of creative educational experiences such as dancing, fitness-based movement, expressive art, journaling, and more!

We are accepting applications from all dance backgrounds, including ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, and more. Previous teaching experience is preferred, but not required. To apply please email your resume to info@lspgh.com.

Requirements:

-Available to work most weekdays 8:30AM to 3:30PM from June 15th to July 17th.

-Proven ability to work with young children.

-Strong interpersonal communication skills. Candidates must be able to respectfully and appropriately communicate with children, parents, guardians, and studio staff.

-Previous dance experience in any style preferred but not required. Non-traditional education, volunteer work, and other non-paid experience will be considered. 

-Holds or is able to obtain the following clearances:

• Department of Human Services Child Abuse History Clearance
• Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Records Check
• Federal Criminal History Record Information (CHRI)

Los Sabrosos Dance Co. Summer Camp Aid 

Description:  The Summer Camp aid helps with the running and administration of Los Sabrosos Dance Co. Summer Camp activities. Aid(s) will help instructors supervise and engage children during summer camp hours and special events. 

Hourly Pay $10-$18, depending on experience and workload

Responsibilities:

• Greet campers and their families in a professional and welcoming manner. 
• Assist camp instructors in guiding activities. These may include repeating instructions to campers, modeling behavior, or participating in activities. 
• Supervise children during the day.  
• Identify day-to-day potential risks such as spills, tripping hazards, choking hazards, and rough play among campers. Remove minor risks (small spills, picking up misplaced small toys, etc.)  and inform supervisors of risks or behaviors that need to be addressed. 
• Help maintain campers in the designated areas. 
• Light cleaning duties, as required. 
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Interpersonal communication skills: employees must be able to communicate calmly and politely with children, families, and staff. 
• Attention to detail: employees must be able to keep track of various activities, while keeping children safe. 
• High energy: must be able to keep up with children. 
• Comfortable with artistic activities such as painting, writing, and dancing.
