Tango 102: TURNS
Instructors Trini Regaspi & Sean Cosgrove bring you a new Tango 102 class designed to introduce the foundations of turns and changes in Tango.
Navigating the social dance floor requires turns that can keep couples in place (“dancing on a tile”) or progress in the line of dance. This class covers basic “changes of front” and the turns that lead to more complex figures. As always, we’ll work on the body mechanics and principles to execute figures smoothly and lead to further work. Both close and open embrace will be explored. Participants should be familiar with cross system and ochos. Instruction is from 4:00 PM-5:00 PM followed by a Práctica 5:00PM-6:00PM where you can safely practice with experienced dancers.
